“One of the things which many say is necessary for Linux to
succeed is desktop productivity tools such as those provided by the
Microsoft Office suite.”
“This is very true, because a large part of what people in many
corporations do is use these applications. Of the applications in
such a suite, the most important is perhaps the word processor.
Therefore, Abi Source’s intention of a cross-platform, open-source
word processor is a very bold move, especially once you consider
that writing a word processor isn’t an especially sexy thing to be
working on. Before starting out, I’d like to thank Robert Sievers
of Abi Source for taking the time to answer a few of my
questions.”
