“About nine months ago, while I was on my trek for a really good
word processor under Linux, I tried out LyX version 0.12.0. At the
time, I did not read the documentation and was extremely confused
as to how to use the program. Afterwards, I discovered Word Perfect
8 (see my review of it) and used it. Recently, a few of the small
problems which I pointed out within my review began to irk me about
Word Perfect and so, once again, I went on a trek to find the
“perfect word processor”. As LyX 1.0 has recently been released, I
decided to try it out.”
