Corel Linux features a fantastic looking graphical
installer, but as far as I can tell there is no option for a
text-mode installer. This means that is your card isn’t supported,
you will not be able to install Corel Linux.
This isn’t such a
big problem for most of us since most of the popular cards are
supported under the most recent Xfree86 releases, but still for
those who have cards that needs special drivers, (like the Suse
binary-only drivers) it is a problem….”

“Corel linux is based upon the latest stable release of Debian
called Slink(which now is rather old), which means that it uses
Glibc2.0 instead of Glibc2.1. It also means that is uses Debian
debs packages rather than RPM packages….”

“I must also say that releasing a Glibc2.0 based distribution at
this point in time is almost in itself enough to give the
distribution thumbs down. It was okay at the time Debian made the
release of their distribution, but it is not okay now. As above
this poses a problem with many binaries available which now mostly
are using glibc2.1, due to the bugs in glibc2.0.”
