“Java-based software, online banking ASP development to be focus
of new company.”
“Appgen Business Software, Inc., a leader in cross-platform
business software, announced today the formation of a new sister
company, Appgen Personal Software, LLC. Based in Richmond,
Virginia, this new company will develop Java-based personal
software products to be sold and supported by Appgen from its
headquarters on Long Island. The new company will focus on personal
financial management software, online banking, and ASP development
under the direction of Chief Technology Officer, Sean Reilly,
creator of AppgenÆ Moneydance, the company’s universal
personal financial management application. Jim Kelly, President and
CEO of Appgen Business Software also heads the new company. “The
formation of a new sister company with Sean Reilly in charge of
technology builds on our strong background in cross-platform
general business and accounting software for Linux, Unix, and
Windows computing environments,” said Jim Kelly. “Our goal is to
provide everyone with the software they need now, and then provide
them with an easy path to anywhere they may want to go. If, for
example, someone likes Appgen Moneydance because it is a
particularly powerful personal finance manager, they will also find
that our business solutions are just as flexible, and even more
powerful. Then, if they decide that they prefer an ASP solution,
our software can go there, too.”
