“Armed Linux launched its first full release distribution on CD.
The current shipping version is Armed Linx Workstation Beta 1.1,
and is available for purchase through their web site. Financial
transactions are being processed by CCNOW. The cost of the CD is
$9.99 plus shipping and contains Armed Linux Workstation Beta 1.1,
linux documentation, and a host of General Public Licence (GPL)
software.

The Armed Linux product is a full Linux operating system
distribution that has been customized to install on top of versions
of Microsoft Windows or any version of DOS
. Positioned toward
the new or beginning Linux user, the beta version of their product
has been available from their web site for two months. Initial
reaction to the product has been more that favorable, bridging a
gap in the Linux market for first time users.”
