Comput-Ability Named Winner of Magic for Linux Really Cool
Contest

IRVINE, CA (December 2, 1999) — Magic Software Enterprises (NASDAQ:
MGIC) announced at Comdex today that Comput-Ability, Inc., a
Charlotte, NC-based solutions developer for the “specialty”
contractor market, has won its Magic for Linux Really Cool Contest,
with a business-to-business e-commerce solution targeted at the
mechanical insulation industry. BuyInsulation.com, which
went live this month with thousands of dollars worth of initial
product placement, is designed to help the mechanical insulation
industry more efficiently move overstocked, excess and/or odd-sized
items out of inventory.

The announcement came during “Linux Day,” an event sponsored by
Magic in conjunction with the Comdex ’99 exposition in Israel.
David Leichner, vice president of Worldwide Marketing for Magic,
made the announcement during his “Linux Means Business”
presentation. Other notable keynote speakers at Linux Day included
Jon (“maddog”) Hall, executive director of Linux International, and
John R. (“beau”) Vrolyk, senior vice president of SGI’s product
group.
