LinuxPR: HELIOS ships EtherShare 2.6 loaded with new, performance-enhancing features

“Supporting more AppleShare servers worldwide than any other
UNIX-based server software, HELIOS Software GmbH (Nexpo Booth
#1339), a leading provider of network and prepress software,
announced it is now shipping EtherShare 2.6.”

“Major features of EtherShare 2.6 include high performance UNIX
implementation of AppleTalk networking including support for
routing, AppleShare IP, advanced spooling and print support, and
PostScript Type 1 & 3 font server for all printers and UNIX
Text to PostScript printing.”

“EtherShare 2.6 is available for a wide variety of
Unix-based systems including Apple’s Mac OS X Server and Linux
Pentium based servers. Windows 95, 98, Windows NT and Windows
2000 clients are integrated to the same server via the now shipping
HELIOS PCShare 3.0.”
