“IBM today announced product enhancements and a software
promotion to make Linux more attractive to companies of all sizes.
The announcement includes:

  • New and enhanced versions of WebSphere* Application Server for
    Linux to help businesses deploy and manage Web-based applications;
    and
  • IBM Small Business Pack for Linux, a promotional offering of
    industry-leading software for e-business, available at a suggested
    retail price of only $499, to meet the needs of the price-sensitive
    small business market.”

“Linux is becoming mainstream and demand for Linux software is
coming from companies with less than 100 employees as well as the
largest enterprises,” said Scott Handy, director, Linux Solutions
Marketing, IBM Software. “IBM now offers a broad spectrum of
software solutions for Linux to power any sized e-business
environment.”
