ILOG Products Deliver Performance and Value as Part of
E-Commerce Solutions Running on Linux PC Servers.

“ILOG…the world’s leading supplier of software components*,
announced today it has just completed porting its entire product
line – embeddable optimization, visualization and rules engines in
Java and C++ — to the Red Hat and SuSE Linux operating systems.
With interest growing in Linux for e-commerce applications, ILOG
sees particular promise in the Linux version of products like ILOG
Rules, its powerful business rules engine, and ILOG Configurator,
currently the most advanced, high-performance configuration engine
for businesses developing online selling applications.”

“ILOG has worked with Linux since the operating system’s early
days and it has become the main development environment among some
of ILOG’s optimization engineers. According to ILOG CEO Pierre
Haren, adding Linux to the other platforms ILOG officially supports
– including Windows and other variations of UNIX – “benefits our
customers by broadening even further the well-known cross-platform
capabilities of ILOG products,” he said. “Now Linux developers can
reduce development time and cost by building their e-commerce and
e-supply chain applications on high-end, embeddable ILOG
components.”
