“ImageStream Internet Solutions announced gigabit ethernet
support for the Rebel Router, Gateway Router, Enterprise Router,
and upcoming Rocket Router. The addition of gigabit support means
ImageStream routers can now compete in gigabit applications with
products that cost two to four times as much.”

ImageStream routers provide gigabit ethernet support via a
standard full-duplex SX style fiber optic interface.
This
interface is typically connected to a gigabit ethernet switch or
another router with gigabit ethernet support. ImageStream routers
will continue to provide base support for 10/100 ethernet
connectivity, and gigabit ethernet support is being offered as an
upgrade option. Gigabit ethernet support is available with new
router purchases, and existing ImageStream routers will require a
minor software upgrade to support the new hardware option.”
