“High-end Digital Image Enhancement Application from Form &
Vision Integrates LuraWave Compression Technology Using
Wavelets.”

“LuraTech Inc., leader in next generation image and document
solutions, and Form & Vision GmbH, developer of high-end
professional digital image enhancement software, today announced
the integration of LuraTech’s wavelet-based image compression
technology, LuraWave(R), into Form & Vision’s latest digital
imaging application, Eclipse 3.1.4. With the innovative LuraWave
compression technology, users of Eclipse can now reduce the size of
large image files without compromising its image quality. LuraWave
brings significant benefits to Eclipse by enabling user-controlled
image compression rates and by allowing images to be saved either
losslessly or minimally-lossy. Depending on the image, LuraWave can
achieve lossless compression rates ranging from a ratio of 1:2 to
1:3. The integration of the LuraWave image compression technology
into Eclipse will help individuals significantly reduce image file
size when sending images to other Eclipse users via email. Using
LuraWave images will reduce memory storage requirements and quicken
the transfer of image files over the Internet while retaining high
image quality.”
