“Net Boolean Incorporated announced today that it has pledged
$1000 towards OpenLDAP development through the Cosource.com
cooperative market. By co-funding OpenLDAP development through
Cosource.com and their continued sponsorship of the OpenLDAP
Project, Net Boolean sets the example for cooperative sponsorship
of open source projects.

“Net Boolean CTO Kurt Zeilenga notes, “Every user wants to see
the software they use improved. However, not every user has the
necessary skills to do it themselves nor enough money to
independently fund development. Cosource.com offers an alternative.
Individuals can create a cooperative market for their software
request and pool their resources to fund significant development.
This allows anyone to make contributions to an open source efforts
such as OpenLDAP.”

“Quoting the Cosource.com website, “Our job is to create the
venue that lets buyers of specialized software conduct business
with skilled developers.” Net Boolean hopes that their funding of
select OpenLDAP efforts will encourage others to contribute funding
and will allow the project to attract additional skilled
developers.”
