“Omnis Software today confirmed a large increase in the number
of developers evaluating and adopting Omnis Studio, their
leading-edge Rapid Application Development program. During the last
two quarters the number of Omnis Studio developers has more than
doubled, and downloads of the evaluation version from the web site
have increased approximately five-fold.”

“The Company has identified a number of key issues
which have helped accelerate interest and growth during
this period. These include the increasing adoption of the Linux
operating system, a reduction in Studio’s price, and increasing
awareness of the power and speed of the development tool.”

“Gwyneth Gibbs, President of Omnis Software commented, “Omnis
Studio has always been a cross-platform tool for Windows and Mac,
and in August of last year we introduced the Linux version to great
acclaim at LinuxWorld Expo in California. We followed that by
reducing the price of the complete development tool to $149.00 to
stimulate growth of commercial applications on Linux. Developers
have come to acknowledge that they need a tool that allows them to
protect their development investment and allow their business
solutions to run on any of the major operating system platforms,
thereby avoiding premature obsolescence.”
