“The Linux desktop now has a full-featured fax and voice
messaging application. PMfax for Linux has been released and is
immediately available at www.pmfax.com. This product fills a hole
in the Linux desktop and provides other Linux applications with
“print and fax” capabilities.”

“PMfax for Linux runs on all popular Linux
distributions
including Red Hat, Caldera, Corel, SuSE,
TurboLinux, Mandrake, Peanut and others. The free PMfax Lite
product supports fax sending and receiving with fax modems, and it
also provides the features of a simple voice answering machine if
your modem supports voice commands.”

“Because it uses your own modem and telephone line, sending a
fax is free for local calls and costs you only your normal long
distance rate for toll calls. PMfax Lite does not limit the size or
number of faxes, and the program does not require you to register
or purchase after an evaluation period. Expect to see PMfax Lite
becoming an integral part of most Linux distributions and
desktops.”
