LinuxPR: Rapid expansion drives Donovan’s move to new office

Donovan Systems, the premier developer of 64-bit Linux
systems, has moved into new, larger premises to support its
expansion in a growing market for 64-bit Linux technology.
The
new premises will increase the company’s production capacity to
more than 40,000 high performance servers a year, and provide
technical support and training facilities, including Linux
certification courses. It will also accommodate the rapid increase
in Donovan’s staff, which doubled to 80 people in the past six
months.”

“The move to larger premises is a reflection of how quickly
Donovan has grown as a company and our confidence in future
growth,” said Gary Foong, founder and CEO of Donovan Systems. “This
year, we expect to grow more than 200 per cent in revenue and over
the next two years we are targeting revenues in excess of $100
million,” said Mr Foong.”

“Since early 1999, Donovan has notched up a number of world
technology firsts, including the production of the world’s first
64-bit UltraSPARC-driven Linux server. Other achievements include
the release of the first 64-bit Linux server costing less than
US$2,000 early this year, and the unveiling of Chinese Penguin64,
the 64-bit Chinese Linux operating system developed jointly by
Donovan and the Institute of Software, Chinese Academy of Sciences,
in Beijing in June.”
