Nationwide open source professional services firm becomes a
leading kiosk and specialized device provider, fiscal 2001 revenues
to exceed $15 million.

“TeamLinux Corporation today announced that it has launched a
new kiosk, specialized device and e-commerce solutions business
unit resulting from its acquisition of two of the nation’s
established leaders in these technologies. The acquisitions will
catapult the company into a leading position among the nation’s top
providers of interactive technologies.”

“In its latest of six acquisitions since launching in March,
rapidly expanding TeamLinux has acquired the assets of both NCR’s
Design Center and Gem City Solutions. Its new kiosk and special
device design and development business unit, which will be launched
as “exploreStudio,” will consist of employees from all three
companies. The acquisitions combine the manufacturing and customer
relationship strengths of Gem City Solutions; the Design Center’s
internationally recognized design and development expertise with
the open source design, software development and support
capabilities of TeamLinux. exploreStudio will provide world-class
end-to-end kiosk, special device and e-commerce solutions to the
banking, hospitality, retail, food service, supermarket and
government industries as well as other developing interactive
markets.”
