“On January 24, iPlanet announced version 4.1 of its Web server
— the Enterprise Edition. For the first time, this top-tier server
will be available for the Linux platform. iPlanet also announced a
new Fast Track Edition, also with a Linux version, which will be
available for free from its Website….”

“LinuxWorld: Does this release include a JVM for Linux? If
so, which one?”

“Steven Herbert: That’s a great question. It does, Blackdown
RC3. But you can plug in the JVM of your choice, or replace the
current one if a new one is released.”

“LinuxWorld: Does iPlanet include any open source packages or
components?”

“Steven Herbert: No, it is not open source at all.”
