“Whizzer is a product that you can use in Linux to automate your
web browsing and program execution. Instead of clicking on your web
browser icon 5 times and filling in a different web address in each
window ( and hitting RETURN) wouldn’t it be nice to simply click on
one button? That is how I do it. I create an icon on my desktop to
point to my executable “6whizzer” shell script and then once I am
in kde, I click on that icon and boom, here is what I see….”
“Then what I would usually do is click on the kpp selection and
then dial into the internet by clicking on the “Execute selected
command”. That’s one thing I like about whizzer is that even if an
item is not in my profile, I can click on it in the bottom window
and execute it that one time. But the basic idea behind whizzer is
that I would set up a profile of the programs I want to run in one
whizzer window and in the other whizzer window I set up a profile
of the websites that I wish to see opened all at once when I dial
into the net. So there are two whizzer windows, one devoted to
executable programs and the other devoted to websites to be opened.
Is there room for a third?”
“I feel that the program can be improved so go ahead and
take it and make it better. It is licensed under the GNU GPL so you
can easily do that.“
