“After the announcement of the new Google Code service at OSCON
2006 in Portland Oregon, we had the distinct pleasure of sitting
down and talking with Google’s Open Source Program Manager, Chris
DiBona and their Lead Open Source Engineer, Greg Stein in a little
more detail. Granted, they must have been tired from all the
questions being thrown at them that afternoon (after making the
announcement, the two might as well have been two rock stars
considering how much attention they were receiving), but they took
the time to talk to us and that’s all that matters of course. What
follows is a transcript of that audio recording. Mad Penguin’s
