interchangeably, there’s a big difference between the two. Data is
factual. Data is a list of temperatures, a litany of recent sales,
or an inventory of parts on hand. Information is insightful.
Information is a prediction of the weather, a profit-and-loss
statement, and a sales trend. Data is recorded as ones and zeros.
Information is coalesced by synapses.“Between data and information lies the software application: the
engine that transforms the former to the latter and vice
