Microsoft revealed that it will be joining the Linux Foundation R Consortium as a founding member. The founding members of the R Consortium include other major corporations like Google, HP and Oracle. R is a rapidly evolving language for statistical data analysis that’s driving innovation in the field of data sciences. In the near future, more Microsoft products will come with R built-in.
