Hello guys,

   A new version of the Midnight Commander has been released.

You can fetch this version from:

   ftp://ftp.gnome.org/pub/GNOME/sources/mc-4.5.5.tar.gz
   ftp://ftp.nuclecu.unam.mx/linux/local/devel/mc-4.5.5.tar.gz

The changes from last version include:

* GNOME features

   - New dialog boxes and layouts for various pieces done by Jonathan
     Blandford.

   - The File manager now provides a GNOME Factory object, try this
     command to launch the file manager:

        new-object IDL:GNOME/FileManagerWindow:1.0

   - Auto-scroll handlers during DnD for the Listing and Icon views.

   - Incremental reload of desktop icons (this should provide a nicer
     desktop handling experience).

* Bug fixes

   - Norbert's fixes to the inode allocation for tar and sfs file
     systems.

   - New setup for compiling the GNOME code, this was required for the
     CORBA build.

   - Delete command actually works (both on the desktop icons and on
     the panels).

   - Context popup menu is working again.

   - Various dialog bug fixes.

   - Lots of other fixes reported on the list. Too many to list.
