“Mobile browsing itself is an increasingly growing market.
Strategy Analytics has reported that there are currently 172
million smart phones in use today. That number will grow to 462
million by 2012.

“While Fennec developers are aiming to get a piece of the pie,
they admit there is still much work that needs to be done.

“”Our priority right now is performance and responsiveness,”
Sullivan said. “There are projects underway like TraceMonkey,
speculative parsing, graphics, networking and other improvements
that will make the browser much faster and make it a good platform
for application developers.””
