NT: Open Source Software Firm LinuxOne Files $24M Of Stock For IPO

“LinuxOne Inc., an emerging developer and provider of open
source software and services, today registered to sell 3 million
common shares in an initial public offering.”

The Mountain View, Calif.-based company, which said the IPO
is being “self-underwritten,” expects to price the shares in the
$6-to-$8 range, according to an SEC filing released
today.

“Unlike proprietary software, open source software, including
the company’s LinuxOne operating system, has publicly available
source code that can be copied, modified and distributed with
minimal restrictions.”
