“VA Linux Systems Inc., a provider of software and products
based on the up-and-coming Linux operating system, laid out the
specifics of its pending IPO today, revealing that it will offer
4.4 million common shares in the $11-to-$13 range.”

In its original filing, dated Oct. 8, VA Linux registered
$70 million of stock for the deal, but did not disclose the number
of shares to be involved or a per-share price range for the
stock.

“VA Linux has trimmed the size of the stock sale somewhat, and
now expects the aggregate offering price to be $65.8 million,
according to an amended regulatory document released this
morning.”
