More software publishers and enterprises adopt the open source
model for critical enterprise applications. During the Europe Japan
Conference
on Linux and Free Software, leading enterprises and
software publishers announced their plans to go Open Source.

A Chinese Bank is expected to install 15.000 Linux machines.
Bull, the French computer
vendor, announced the released of its open source Enterprise Java
Beans Framework. intraDAT
plans to release the source code of VShop, its leading eCommerce
solution for Linux. ExOffice is offering a wide range of Java/XML
open source solutions for the corporate world. Also, Software AG, one of the large
European software vendors, announced the certification of SuSE Linux for its Tamino XML
Information Server, Bolero Application Factory and the complete
EntireX middleware suite by late 1999.
