“From the title of this, you are undoubtedly expecting a
wonderfully inflammatory troll in which I either a) complain about
Free Software and the zealotry it creates, or b) say that they
aren’t really zealots, they have a good point, and you should all
listen to them. Both of these would make very controversial
articles indeed, but if it is controversy you are looking for I’m
afraid you won’t find it here.

“I visit countless FLOSS news sites every day. I see comments
that come from within the community, and I am amazed at the levels
of intelligence that can be put into being stupid. That said, I am
definitally not saying that either side of the aformentioned debate
is necessarily right or wrong, simply that in many cases both sides
are argued intelligently but based on false assumptions. One of the
ones that bothered me in particular is the use of the word ‘zealot’
in describing people who believe in the values of the Free Software
Foundation…”
