“Corel Corp. increased its stake yesterday in the eventual
success of the free computer operating system Linux.”

“The Ottawa software firm announced the creation of the Corel
Linux Advisory Council, which will bring together companies that
are developing products to operate on Linux.”

“The council will discuss ways to ensure the eventual success of
Linux and to accelerate development of products that will work on
the operating system. Its first meeting will be in Ottawa on June
14-15.”
