PCWeek: HP and O’Reilly launch Linux developers service

“Hewlett-Packard Co. and O’Reilly and Associates this week are
debuting a Linux developers service aimed at coalescing the loosely
fitted community.”

“Called sourceXchange, the service offers an online space
(classifieds, really) for vendors that need Linux developers. The
service is live at sourcexchange.com.”

“Vendors pay to have their Requests for Proposals listed at the
site. Developers have free access to the RFPs and can bid on them.
HP, of Palo Alto, Calif., and O’Reilly, of Sebastopol, Calif.,
assume the risk when a vendor and developer come to terms for a
project.”
