Phat Linux v3.3 has just been released. It has exited Beta stage
and is ready for mass consumption. It is available from the Phat
Linux website at: http://www.phatlinux.com.
Phat Linux is a distribution of Linux which is installed,
through Windows, on a DOS partition. It is meant to save new and
experimenting users the trouble and risk of repartitioning their
hard drives.
The new version comes jam packed with many new features,
including KDE 2.0. Along with KDE 2.0, Phat Linux also has Koffice
preinstalled, XFree86 3.3.6, the 2.2.15 Linux kernel, and a few
more handy updates.
The Windows based installer has been rewritten, it now includes
more functionality. With the new installer it is literally possible
to install Linux in 1 mouse click! Once Phat Linux is installed, it
will also detect your hardware, and configure it for you. You
should be able to run X without a single configuration!
