“Corel Corp., bloodied but unbowed in its battle with the
Microsoft colossus, is embracing the Linux operating system, an
open-standard alternative to Microsoft’s Windows.”

“Corel hopes to introduce the product in November, aiming for
easy installation and a simple graphical user interface. The
company plans Linux versions of its WordPerfect Office 2000 suite
this year, with CorelDRAW and Photo-Paint in Linux to follow next
year.”
