Thanks to Peter Crane for

“Corel’s shares reached $8.50 yesterday — a 52-week high —
before dropping slightly to close at $8.35, up 40 cents on the
day.”

“Jean Orr, an analyst with Nutmeg Securities, said reference to
Corel in a public-offering document released by Red Hat Inc.,
touted as a leading contender in the Linux operating system market,
can be seen as having “a psychological impact on Corel’s
stock.”

“Corel spokeswoman Nicole Sandford said Corel, which is
preparing to release Linux versions of its software, “has shown
its strong commitment to the (Linux) platform.””
