Powerware’s statistics reveal support for Linux pays dividends with European customers

“Powerware is the only UPS vendor to have ported its management
software: (LanSafe) to the Linux operating system and to offer
official support to Linux customers.”

“Recent data from Exide’s European Web site shows that the Linux
version of LanSafe, Exide’s management software, is the second most
popular download file on the site. This puts it behind the Windows
NT/ Windows 95 version, but ahead of the versions for Novell
Netware and all flavours of Unix.

“Linux is gaining in popularity as a Web server operating system
because of its reliability and high availability.”
