“Fastlane Software Systems, Inc. Will Ship Pre-Configured Linux
Workstations With Xni Network Analysis Software.”

Fastlane CEO Brian Sefton stated in announcing this move: “We
are making this change for 3 reasons: Linux is a robust and stable
operating system which has all the features and capabilities needed
to run a high-end product like ours. The growth of Linux as the
operating system of choice for high demand computing environments
exactly matches our targeted customer base. Since making our
pre-release version of Xni available on Linux in Sept., 1998, the
demand for this version of our software has made this our top
selling solution.”

“The selection of Linux as a primary development platform means
that Fastlane will now develop new software releases on Linux
systems. The software will then be ported from Linux to other
platforms. The most significant consequence of this will be that
new versions of Fastlane’s software will be released first on
Linux.”
