“LinuxIT, a major European distributor and reseller for
Linux-based products, literature and books, and Acrylis Inc.,
innovators in the open-source, software management industry, today
announced an alliance where LinuxIT will become Acrylis’ premier UK
reseller for their new WhatifLinux.com service. This
partnership enhances LinuxIT’s range of Linux offerings, and makes
it even easier for UK Linux users to benefit from Acrylis’ new
service.
Acrylis’ recently announced Web-based WhatifLinux.com
service helps Linux Administrators monitor and manage open-source
software assets helping them to increase service levels and system
uptime.”

“We are excited to be supporting Acrylis with their UK launch to
Linux users. Our customers need solutions that ease their workload
and Acrylis has developed WhatifLinux.com to do just that,” said
Peter Dawes, Sales Director of LinuxIT. “One of the key selling
points for our customers is the ‘What if’ support tool, which
enables them to ascertain the consequences each new installation
will have on their system. This is an invaluable function that
saves sysadmins a huge amount of time and worry, before they
actually install a patch on the live system.”

“LinuxIT is a major European distributor and reseller for
Linux-based products, literature and books. Their goal is to offer
a wide range of excellent support and services combined with
technically advanced products. LinuxIT will make WhatifLinux.com
available to it’s European customer base. By providing
administrators with centralized management and critical risk
analysis of their networked systems, WhatifLinux.com goes far
beyond ‘static’ log monitors, network process monitors and software
update services. Adding Acrylis’ new WhatifLinux service to their
offerings allows LinuxIT to provide a complete line of Linux-based
product solutions and services.”
