“Ada Core Technologies, the leading provider of open software
solutions for all aspects of Ada 95 software development and DCS
IP, LLC (DCS), a leading provider of products and services for Real
Time-Embedded Systems, announced today that GNAT 3.13 was used as
the development environment and market launch platform for AdaSTAT.
AdaSTAT, is DCS’ automatic metric reporting and restrictions
checking tool for Ada95. GNAT is the most widely used open
source Ada95 development environment.”

“DCS delivers Embedded Products and Integration Services for
ground, mobile, air and sea craft. “We chose GNAT 3.13 for AdaSTAT
development and market launch because of the open source policy of
Ada Core Technologies,” said Rowland Bradley, Director of Product
Management for DCS. “Since GNAT is widely and freely available, it
is the perfect launch platform for new products.” DCS engineers
develop real-time, embedded systems, mission critical applications
and safety critical systems. The company uses various Ada compilers
to serve its customer needs.”

“DCS’ engineers have faced the labor and time intensive
challenge of ensuring software complies with appropriate regulatory
and project-specific guidelines. In some cases, DCS engineers were
required to review each line of code manually to ensure safe,
deterministic application behavior. DCS developed AdaSTAT to ensure
that reviewers catch all coding violations. AdaSTAT also reports on
the size and complexity of the code. Since AdaSTAT automatically
flags violations, it substantially minimizes the time and labor it
takes to perform this critical analysis while guaranteeing improved
quality and reliability of subsequent applications.”
