Inc….announced today that CIE has executed the closing documents
to finalize the purchase of IBP, Inc. (as announced on 12/1/99) a
private company that specializes in Linux based data compression
technologies.”

“Mr. Sample stated, “IBP has developed a comprehensive
assortment of fully functional Linux software products comprised of
advanced data compression tools.
The IBP Linux compression
products are directed to internet applications such as full motion
streaming video, lossless image and text string compression and
highly compressed, high resolution static images. This collection
of highly advanced tools gives CIE a tremendous competitive
advantage in this fast growing arena.”

“Sample explains, “Linux will make inroads in specialized
servers and non-PC devices. Additionally, the open-source operating
system will have significant impact on the newly emerging category
of non-PC devices, such as handheld Web browsers. All of these
products will have need for our data compression tools.”
