“Coresoft Technologies, Inc., announced today CenterPoint(R) for
Linux, an extensible voice and unified messaging platform.
CenterPoint for Linux will mirror the current CenterPoint product
on NT, which is a complete Voice/Unified Messaging solution that
can be tailored and customized to meet the specific communication
requirements for a business. CenterPoint for Linux is highly
scalable to meet the needs of the broad Linux OS market, and is
designed for use in environments ranging from set-top boxes to ASPs
and large service bureaus.

“Our goal is to engineer computer telephony applications that
appeal to a broad range of customers while still meeting the
specific business needs of our vertical market solutions,” said
Scott Sorensen, president and co-founder of Coresoft. “CenterPoint
for Linux provides our partners a choice between our Windows NT
product and our Linux offering. We believe choice is important, as
evidenced in Dialogic’s recent announcement that broadens their
platform support with the addition of the Linux operating
system.”

“CenterPoint provides an “open” computer telephony platform,
enabling rapid creation of solutions that integrate phone systems
with applications specific to an individual company or industry.
CenterPoint for Linux includes Interactive Voice Response (IVR),
Automatic Call Distribution (ACD) and other template components
that provide the ability to telephony enable business critical
applications. Examples of these applications are CRM software for
sales and marketing companies, or patient management software in
the health care industry.”
