building, factory and office automation. The application enables
customers to quickly and easily OPC-enable their Linux- based
automation systems. OPC is a set of standard interfaces based upon
Microsoft’s OLE/COM technology that makes it possible to
interoperate between automation applications, rugged field devices
and business applications. Intrinsyc is an active member of the OPC
Foundation (www.opcfoundation.org), whose membership list is a
who’s who of the automation industry, including ABB Automation,
Bosch, Digital Electronics, Ford Motor Company, GE Fanuc, Hitachi,
Microsoft, Mitsubishi, and Siemens AG. A number of the foundation
members are also Intrinsyc customers or allies.”
