Red Herring: Sun folds to open-source trend

“Sun plans to make public its source code for Solaris software,
according to a report in The Wall Street Journal, which cited
comments from Sun chief technology officer, Greg Papadopoulos. On
Friday, October 1, 1999 a Sun spokesman refused to elaborate on the
comments, explaining that no date has been set for releasing the
code.”
