[ Thanks to Rafael

for this link. ]

The PLplot project is proud
to announce the availability of version
5.2.1
of the PLplot library which is relatively small
scientific plotting library, portable, and is rich enough to
satisfy most users. It has a wide range of plot types including
line (linear, log), contour, 3D, and fill. For more advanced use,
virtually all aspects of plotting are configurable. PLplot has
bindings for several different languages (Fortran, C++, Tcl,
Python, Octave, Java) and has drivers for a variety of devices and
graphical formats (X11, Tk Canvas, Gnome Canvas, PostScript, PNG,
JPEG, etc)

Version 5.2.1 of PLplot is mainly a bug fixing release, but some
new cools features have been added, like 3D plots from irregularly
sampled data. Many new features have been introduced between
versions 5.1.0 and 5.2.0, but this later release has not been
properly advertised. For more informations, see the release
announcement.
