Well, not an application.  But they will enhance your applications!

Description
===========

Beta test versions of Bitstream Vera Font family.  Note that while you may
download these fonts for your personal use,  the beta
test versions may not be redistributed at all.  The link below describes
both the current version, (named 1.0, as that is the versions embedded in
the font files), and the draft copyright for the final version, due out
next month.

Your desktop will look nicer!
