“Shares of V-ONE Corp. quadrupled on Tuesday after the maker of
network security software introduced a version of its flagship
SmartGate program designed for computer users running the hot Linux
operating system.

“V-ONE shares were up 11-7/16, or 315 percent, at 15, near the
close of trade, after earlier touching an 52-week high of 16. With
57.6 million changing hands, V-ONE’s volume was more than 90 times
its daily average, making it by far the most active Nasdaq
issue.

“Germantown, Md.-based V-ONE on Tuesday unveiled SmartGate for
Linux, a software package that is compatible with Red Hat Inc.’s
Red Hat Linux version 6.0.”
