“The smartphone battle crosses over into the car with Saab’s
PhoeniX concept.

“Shove over, Apple. There’s a new, equally smart in-car computer
system in town, and Saab is not afraid to use it.

“The reborn Swedish car maker has used the PhoeniX concept car
shown at this week’s Geneva motor show to flag that it intends
putting a very different spin on design.

“However, open the door and – unlike many other Geneva
followers-rather-than-leaders – you won’t see an Apple-branded iPad
or iPhone in any corner of the cabin.”
