Silicon Valley Linux Users Group starts an “Installfest” home page.

From the Installfest website:

“Installfest.com is being set up as a list of Installfests for
Linux or other Open Source(tm) operating systems and software. An
Installfest is an event where you can bring your computer and local
volunteers will help you to install your software. These events, of
course, need volunteers so help if you can. If you get help from
your local Installfest, we encourage you to come back to more to
help others. You’ll learn more that way too. “

Also, toward the bottom, they mention that they are willing to
provide DNS entries for other Open Source operating systems that
wish to have a hostname on installfests.com.

“SVLUG is offering to point host names in the installfest.com
domain to other Open Source operating systems to help yoor user
groups hold their installfests. You’ll need to provide your own web
server and maintenance volunteers. “
