Songbird Ditches Linux. So What?

“A year and a half ago, I was among those that celebrated the
release of Songbird 1.0 — a Mozilla based open source music
challenger to iTunes.

“Unfortunately for me — and other Linux users, the Songbird
effort is now not nearly as interesting, as developers have chosen
to stop supporting Linux. It’s a decision that in my personal view,
shows the limited view that some take toward cross-platform
development and why it is still sometimes a challenge to build for
Linux.”
