MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif., March 12, 2009 — SourceForge, the leader
in tech oriented,community-driven media and e-commerce, (NASDAQ:
LNUX) today announced free hosting for Git, Bazaar and Mercurial,
three leading distributed source code management (SCM) systems.
This service is immediately available to all open source
projects registered on SourceForge.net

SCM systems, which store and manage changes to source code,
enable large teams to collaborate on software projects in a
controlled, productive way.  SourceForge.net already provides
hosting for well-known SCM systems CVS and Subversion.

“Freedom to choose is one of our core principles at SourceForge.
We think it’s better to provide a broad selection of quality
tools and let open source developers choose the one that fits their
needs,” said Ross Turk, director of community at SourceForge. “Git,
Bazaar and Mercurial, accompanied by our popular Subversion and CVS
support, put us on the path toward a very well-rounded SCM
toolset.”

SourceForge has increased the frequency of tools released for
developers in the past six months, especially its Hosted Apps
releases, which provide instant, virtualized access to popular open
source tools.  Trac, MediaWiki, Laconica, phpBB, WordPress,
Piwik and other Hosted Apps are available immediately at
http://p.sf.net/sf-community/hostedapps.
