Subject: Dr. Dobb’s Tcl-URL! – weekly Tcl news and links (Oct
30)

This week’s big news was certainly the acquisition of Ajuba
Solutions by InterWoven. Check out the *long* thread on this issue,
and also the position statement of the TCT (Tcl Core Team) as well
as a front-page on Linux Weekly News.

For the Newbies:
Tcl’s powerful channel system allows various channel-specific
options to be set or queried with the general fconfigure command.
Those channel-specific options, however, are not documented in the
fconfigure manual entry but rather with the command that creates
that type of channels, e.g., socket.
