system that represents competition for Microsoft’s Windows….”

“There’s not an awful lot of overlap – they will have a good
Linux line-up,” said Rob Hailstone, research director at Bloor
Research, Milton Keynes, England. “This is almost the best thing
that could happen,” he said, adding that the prospect of Corel
being acquired by RedHat — which emerged in rumors in December —
would not have been so positive for non-Linux customers.”

They both (Corel and Inprise) have got a strong customer
base that is not Linux-based and it’s to everyone’s advantage that
they continue enhancing that and supporting those
customers.
