antitrust case.”

“In its filing Microsoft said Netscape’s Navigator browser and
Sun’s Java software threatens its OS dominance because they
comprise platforms to which developers can write applications.”

“Microsoft also wants Judge Jackson to take notice of
software developments since the trial, such as the growing
popularity of Linux
through its distributor Red Hat, including
that company’s exuberant stock valuation, and Sun’s move to
distribute free over the Internet business applications that
compete with Microsoft.”
